This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced production professional to join a highly regarded independent children’s publisher in a senior, hands-on role with genuine strategic influence. This is a unique opportunity to combine day-to-day management of all stages of production with an integral role in shaping production workflows, supplier relationships, sustainability initiatives and long-term operational planning.

You’ll manage production through all stages, overseeing schedules, specifications, print costs, manufacturing standards and supplier relationships. You’ll also review production workflows, sustainability standards and compliance processes, helping to ensure books are produced efficiently and to a consistently high standard.

As part of a small independent publishing team, this role offers the opportunity to make a visible and meaningful contribution to the wider business, working closely with senior colleagues and helping to shape and influence the production function going forward. You will provide informed oversight, recommendations and strategic input across manufacturing, print partnerships, workflows and production planning. As such, you will have solid production experience within children’s publishing or another illustrated publishing environment. You’ll be highly organised, commercially aware and confident managing multiple projects simultaneously.
