Senior Commissioning Editor (Nonfiction)

Hybrid
Mid-Level
Salary:
Competitive - on enquiry

Think Selection is delighted to be working with a growing independent publisher to appoint a Senior Commissioning Editor to drive acquisitions onto a narrative non-fiction publishing programme.

This newly created role offers the opportunity to build a list with range and ambition. Working with the Editorial Director, the Senior Commissioning Editor will commission and publish narrative-led non-fiction and contribute to the strategic development of the programme.

You’ll have a broad remit to shape the list, with the opportunity to acquire, amongst other genres - memoirs, popular culture, entertainment, gift and smart thinking books, with scope to publish brands and author-led projects.

You’ll see through your list from acquisition through to publication, working closely with colleagues in editorial, sales, marketing and publicity so that books are clearly positioned and thoughtfully published.

This key role within a growing, non-corporate publishing team will suit an editor who really enjoys contributing ideas and seeing books through from concept to taking the book project to market.

A competitive salary is on offer, and you’ll be based from the London offices a minimum 2 days per week on a hybrid basis.
