Sales Representative – Western Canada
A well-established international book publishing company is expanding its English-language sales team in Canada and has asked Think Selection to find a Sales Representative to grow its presence in Western Canada. This is a key role focused on developing new business opportunities for the list and building strong relationships with independent booksellers, retailers and libraries.
You will be the main point of contact for the region, visiting accounts throughout the year, presenting seasonal titles and backlist, and opening new business. You’ll also share customer insights with colleagues to help shape future publishing and sales plans.
The role is predominantly field-based, covering British Columbia and Alberta, with regular travel that also includes attendance at local fairs, shows and events, so a valid driving licence is essential. You’ll be home-based for a small amount of your working week.
We are looking for a confident, organised and commercially minded self-starter who is ready to build and develop a territory. The role will suit someone who enjoys working independently and establishing strong relationships with customers.
Experience in book sales is preferable, though applicants with a background in bookselling or publishing sales support with market knowledge and are ready for the career next step are also encouraged to apply.
