Think Selection is delighted to be recruiting a Production Manager on behalf of a successful independent trade publisher with a great range of books across fiction and non-fiction.

This is a key role in the publishing team, responsible for managing book production from manuscript to finished copies. You’ll handle schedules, supplier relationships, and production budgets, ensuring high-quality books are delivered on time and within cost. You’ll work closely with editorial, design and sales teams, and oversee one direct report.

The publisher produces trade books, licensed products and special editions. You’ll have the opportunity to oversee a variety of formats, from standard paperbacks to more complex novelty editions, and to contribute to an ambitious publishing environment.

The company is based in the Midlands, and you could be office-based, or work mainly remotely with occasional office visits if you live further afield in the UK.

You’ll have relevant book publishing production experience, solid technical knowledge of print production, and excellent organisational and communication skills.

A competitive salary is on offer, that will depend on experience, and you’ll need to be based in the UK with the full right to work.
