Think Selection is delighted to be exclusively recruiting a Production Editor on behalf of a successful London-based trade book publishing company.

In this role you’ll manage the production of Fiction titles from handover of manuscript through to publication. You’ll play a key part in ensuring projects run smoothly to schedule and to budget, while providing excellent author care.

You’ll brief and manage freelance copyeditors, proofreaders and indexers, run print costings, check proofs and eBooks, and prepare InDesign files for press. You’ll coordinate copyedits and proofreads with freelancers, keep authors and editors updated, input corrections into layouts using InDesign, and oversee the timely delivery of books to press.

You’ll also manage reprints and complex projects such as multi-format and retailer-exclusive editions, working closely with Production, Sales, Marketing and Design to maintain schedules.

This is a superb opportunity to join a friendly, experienced team and work on a wide range of fiction book publishing projects., and would suit someone with a minimum 18 months' editorial or production experience in book publishing.

A competitive salary plus company benefits are offered, and you’ll be based from the Central London offices a minimum of two days per week.
