A well-established publishing company has asked Think Selection to find a Production Controller to join its production team.

This is an excellent opportunity for a Production Controller with solid print production experience who enjoys a varied, hands-on role and would like to work on a wide range of highly illustrated and text-led publishing projects, as well as other successful consumer products.

As part of an experienced production team, you'll take responsibility for managing titles and products through the production process from final files through to manufacture and delivery. You'll work with printers in the UK, Europe and Asia, check and approve files, review proofs, troubleshoot technical issues, monitor schedules and ensure projects are produced to the required quality, specification and deadline.

The role requires someone who is comfortable handling complex files and who is experienced with the practical nature of print production. You'll work on projects involving a variety of formats, materials and special finishes, making this a technically varied position.

We're looking for someone with a minimum 2-3 years’ previous production experience in a publishing environment. You'll understand the print and manufacturing process, be confident working with files and proofs, and be able to manage multiple projects at the same time while maintaining excellent attention to detail.

The role combines office and home working with attendance at the company's London offices throughout the week. The salary is up to £38,000 per year depending on experience.
