A well-established children’s book publishing company has asked Think Selection to find a Production Controller to join its production team. In this role you’ll play an important part in producing a fantastic range of children’s books enjoyed by young readers around the world.

This is a varied role at the heart of the publishing process, working on one colour and four colour titles including picture books and board books. As Production Controller, you'll guide projects through production from final files to finished copies, coordinating schedules and proofs and agreeing specifications with print suppliers.

You'll work closely with editorial and design colleagues while managing the practical side of book manufacturing, including print estimates, purchase orders and approvals. You'll also work directly with printers on materials and manufacturing details. For books that include novelty or play elements, you'll coordinate the necessary safety testing.
