A highly respected illustrated publishing company has asked Think Selection to find a Product Development Lead to join their team in London.

This newly created position will lead product innovation across the publisher’s UK imprints, working closely with Production, Sales and Creative teams to develop commercial books and novelty products for international markets.

You’ll be responsible for managing the product development process from early concept through to final specification, ensuring each product meets quality and safety standards, and that all creative and technical details are clearly documented.

With a strong focus on print and novelty innovation, you’ll support the company’s plans to continue delivering distinctive and award-winning print publishing. You’ll help shape internal processes, foster collaboration across departments, and drive efficiencies in how products are developed and delivered to market.

The successful candidate will have demonstrable experience of developing illustrated and novelty products from concept to delivery, within a publishing or print manufacturing environment. A practical understanding of toy safety legislation and international compliance standards is desirable.

You’ll bring excellent project management skills, a confident and collaborative approach, and the ability to work independently with external suppliers and global print partners.

This is a full-time, permanent role based in London, with hybrid working of three days per week in the offices.
