Marketing and Publicity Executive
Think Selection is delighted to be recruiting a Marketing and Publicity Executive on behalf of an independent London-based publishing company, to handle press and promotion for their children’s imprint.
This is a newly created role with a focus on a successful children’s list publishing middle grade and young adult titles. The imprint has an established presence in the market, with a steady programme of new titles each year.
You’ll be responsible for planning and delivering marketing and publicity campaigns for a range of children’s and YA books. This includes maintaining contact with reviewers, bloggers and influencers, organising and attending author events such as bookshop appearances, festivals, and school visits, and handling prize submissions and sample-copy mailings.
You’ll be in regular contact with authors, media contacts and event organisers, and you’ll contribute to campaign ideas and report on promotional activity. Alongside your main focus of promoting the children’s list, you’ll provide some support to the adult publicity team.
You’ll need prior experience in a marketing or publicity role within trade publishing, ideally with children’s or YA books, and the confidence to take ownership of campaigns from planning through to delivery.
Our client will consider candidates for a full-time position, and also someone available to work three of four days per week.
A competitive salary is on offer - which will depend on your experience - along with company benefits, and you’ll be based hybrid from the company’s Central London offices.
