Editor / Assistant Editor
Think Selection is delighted to be recruiting an Editor or Assistant Editor (depending on experience), on behalf of an award-winning independent trade publisher, to provide editorial support to their fiction imprints.
Reporting to the Publisher, your role will include reviewing submissions and preparing reader reports, line and structural editing, maintaining bibliographic title data, and liaising with authors and agents. You’ll also write cover briefs and sales copy, and work with your colleagues in design, production, sales, marketing and publicity.
Candidates should have a minimum 18 months’ editorial experience in trade book publishing, excellent organisational and communication skills and a strong eye for detail. You’ll be confident handling multiple priorities and deadlines within a small, collaborative team.
In this full-time role, you’ll be based a minimum 4 days per week from the company’s Central London offices. A very competitive salary, depending on your experience, plus company benefits, are on offer to the successful candidate. Applicants must have the right to work in the UK.
